Her new favorite window
She loves this window best now. I don't know if it's because she gets to hang with the pictures of Nate and I or if the creatures outside this window are more interesting. Probably the latter. At night, when the blinds are closed she pathetically (and patiently) sits at the window anyway and waits for us to go over and open the blinds for her. Then she goes crazy looking at God knows what. We've tried to figure out what she's looking at, but it beats the shit out of us.

Roman cat
I don't have any Phoebe pics to upload today (although there's a bunch on the camera waiting to be uploaded). Instead, here's a picture of a cat at the cat sanctuary in Rome. The cats live in a plaza full of ancient Roman ruins. There's a clinic attached where all the cats get treated and spayed and fed. It warms the heart. I bought a 7 euro magnet to support the cause. (It's a rock with a cat face painted on it.)
This cat looks like Elton John... my childhood cat. I assume he's lounging on some sort of archealogical crap.

Phoebe is back from fat camp
Phoebe survived 7 weeks of pure hell by hiding under the couch, under the refrigerator, in drawers, in closets, and by only coming out at night... ninja style... while living with my brother, his 3 roommates, and his 2 cats. She lost a few pounds... I'm not sure how many. I freaked out at first, because i thought for sure she was only like 6 lbs (scarily underweight). Turns out she weighs 11. So Lord knows how much she weighed pre-trip. I guess she was a little chunky... I just didn't see it because I was blinded by unconditional love.
On the way home we bought her a new litter box, lots of food and snacks, and new toys. Here she is with purple mouse. She's also sporting a new scratch on her nose, presumably obtained from a bitch fight with my brother's cat Marquis. No matter.... she's back home and back to her old fluffy, happy self.
